SGU Is Looking for Interns
We are looking for people who would like to be SGU interns. These will be flexible positions, there are no location requirements, and work will be largely on your own schedule. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about science journalism, skeptical activism, and social media including podcasting, blogging, video, managing Facebook and Twitter, writing science news reports, doing background research, managing conferences, and other special projects.
If you are interested then send an e-mail to [email protected] with SGU Intern in the subject. Include the following information.
– Name and age
– Educational, work, and other relevant background. Include any audio or video experience, web, graphic design, or other technical experience.
– An estimate of your time availability, including any specific restrictions.
– Location and willingness to travel (this is entirely optional, but there may be opportunities to attend conferences)
– Include a brief essay (800 words or less) describing your interest in the SGU, science, critical thinking, and skeptical activism.
We will contact select applicants for a follow up Skype interview. We hope this will be a great opportunity for those wishing to engage in science journalism and skeptical outreach by working with an established group with almost 20 years of experience. This is also an opportunity to contribute significantly to our efforts.
The last day we will accept applications is Tuesday January 27th.
