“What is metally inside your skin? Blood! Exactly! Why does (the plasma globe) make your finger smell of metal? Clearly, this thing is doing something to your blood.” – Amazing Phil and Amazing Dan
When a government agency like the Internal Revenue Service contacts you, there is a very real chance it is going to cost you some money. This alone will cause some people’s fears to be triggered. However, when the IRS threatens to bring criminal charges against you, that probably a threat you have never faced before in your life. How would you react if the IRS threatened charges which would land you in jail in a matter days?
Halloween is on the horizon, and we are once again inundated with stories from and/or about people who really do believe that ghosts, goblins, devils, vampires, and zombies (among other “scary” things) are real. As such, there is no shortage of ridiculous comments to suffer. Please suffer with me, here are five doozies!
Just when you thought you have seen and heard it all, there is now a woman claiming that ghosts possess her body, take control of her, and uses her to write messages from beyond the grave. Of course they can! Why didn’t we realize this sooner? It makes perfect sense that a “ghost” would want to take control of an agent to send written messages, as opposed to simply appearing before the eyes of a psychic and then the psychic interprets what he or she think the ghosts are telling them. Writing is a much more exact means of getting the message across from the spirit-realm.
The latest victim in the skeptical community to suffer threats is Mark Tilbrook of The United Kingdom. He must defend himself against the dark arts in the form of one Sally Morgan, a self-convinced psychic whose team of thugs (which includes her husband John) has threatened legal action and physical harm to Mark.
We’ve been told by many listeners that they wish our show was longer in length. 80 minutes per week is not enough for some people. So what would we talk about if the show were longer? Well, lots of things, including more news items! There is always more news we can talk about on any given show, so it is a careful process of selection as to which news items make it to the show, and which ones don’t. The ones which do not make it hit the proverbial “cutting room floor”, so once again, here are a few of the news items which might have otherwise made the show if, say, our show was 100+ minutes in length.
“Another method (of depopulation) is disease infection through bio-weapons such as Ebola and AIDS, which are race targeting weapons. There is a weapon that can be put in a room where there are Black and White people, and it will kill only the Black and spare the White, because it is a genotype weapon that is designed for your genes, for your race, for your kind.” – Louis Farrakhan
I have a term for people who are incapable or unwilling to account for science, evidence, and logic when making extraordinary claims; reality-challenged. For whatever reason, they ignore the best evidence at hand, they fail to utilize the scientific method, and their arguments are rife with logical fallacies. And as such, the reality-challenged wind up making some of the more ridiculous comments on any given week, just like this past week. Here are the top ones for this past week, courtesy of the reality-challenged among us all.
Some people who run martial arts studios believe that they can control a nebulous “energy force” which gives them the ability to effect other people, simply by waiving their hands, or shouting really loud, or some other form of minimal-to-no contact with their targets. And when I say “effecting other people”, I mean they are able to get them to physically submit to the martial arts instructor’s claimed powers.
